Pürminerals Is Truly Purfect

Pürminerals recently contacted me to try their products, of which I chose to try out their Pür-fect Starter Kit that contains:

1 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation
Mineral Glow
Universal Marble Powder in Pink
and The Chisel Makeup Brush
(I tried the Blush Medium shade starter kit)

My Opinions:

$24.50
I am seriously so impressed with Pürminerals' Products. My absolute fav product of theirs is the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation. This contains no harsh fillers such as talc, preservatives, or chemical dyes. It is supposed to be your concealer, foundation, powder, and SPF in one (It has an SPF of 15. This mineral powder seriously lives up to it's name. The only other face product I ever use in addition to this product is concealer to cover up some inflammation I have, other than that this completely covers my face, evens it out, lasts long, and feels natural. I can never feel like I am wearing makeup. I cannot say enough good things about this product. Buy it, buy it now. The other thing I love about this product is that it never breaks me out. Ever. I've been using this product for about two months now and I don't think I will ever go back to anything else. Absolutely five star rating and based on Pürmineral Reviews from customers, others agree with me. It also won the Best of Allure Awards, Editors Choice.

$13.50
I like the mineral glow that comes with the starter kit (they also sell it in a larger size individually). However, I don't feel that this is as much a bronzer as it is a product that provides a natural warmth all over the face. When I first took it out of it's packaging I was scared that it would be too dark for my skin tone, but upon applying it I realized that it gave a bit of warmth without making my face look dirty. However, I wouldn't use this product to scult my face as I would with my Nars bronzer in Laguna, but I do love to add it on top of the 4-in-1 Foundation for a soft earthy glow. It also has antioxidants and is free of talc, fillers, fragrances, and dyes so it's actually good for the skin! I recommend this product highly.

$13.50
I have very mixed feelings about this product. It's good for the skin; contains shea butter and Vitamin E and gives this beautiful irridescent blushy glow to anywhere you apply it, but the smell of this is horrible and I have no idea why. I cannot stand to have it anywhere near my nose and the thought of putting something on my face that smells so distasteful is gross to me. I'm not sure if it's the product I personally received that was a bad batch or if they all smell so weird. It's like an odd chalky smell, I just can't stand it, which is such a shame because the color of this blush is so beautiful. I wouldn't purchase this product on it's own. If smells of products don't bother you, then definitely give this blush a try.
*I contacted my representative at Purminerals and he thinks I got a bad batch and asked me to leave it open for a few days, so I'm going to try that and if it still doesn't get rid of the smell I'm going to have it replaced, so I will update you further on that!
$22.00
This brush is kinda just eh to me. I received it and I think the packaging of it is gorgeous. It has a clear acrylic handle with a black seal that says Dip, Draw, Dust. It has a flat edge and the bristles are densely packed and did not come with a weird smell as brushes usually do. This is supposed to be used with the 4-in-1, but after a couple of tries I resorted back to my MAC 187 and like that better. It does the job, but the bristles aren't quite as soft as I would like and I feel I can pick up the color and distribute it better with my 187. If you don't have a face brush and want to invest in the starter kit, it's a good overall brush.

$39.50
I actually really love these brushes. It comes with an overall powder brush, a blush brush, a utility brush (which I like to use as a smudger crease brush), an eyeshadow brush, and a lip brush. These are great quality brushes, very soft, and work with shadows nicely. I really like the utility brush and the lip brush is perfect to slip in my purse to use on the go. They pick up and distribute color nicely. A good brush set for any make up artist investing in brush kits!

Overall, my experience with Pürminerals has been awesome. Their products are very high quality and I have been impressed with most of all of it! I am very excited to try new products and continue giving you my feedback as this is a company I will continue to invest with as I absolutely love the 4-in-1 and am looking to try out the color correcting primer which has rave reviews! I really recommend you try some of their products out and let me know what you think!

I agree with your comments on all of the products. Though I do like the brush very much. The compact is amazing. It will be hard to beat a compact mineral that you can carry around, and its still good for your skin. The fact that it has emollient Shea butter in it and still will not break me out, and give me some moisturization...I think you will def. make some fans out of people with Pur.

I like your "signature" graphic. Did you make it? I've been meaning to do something like that forever!

Homespagoddess- I did make it myself! I used microsoft powerpoint and just did script in different font and colors and inserted an image and saved it as a .jpg, then I uploaded it to a photo program I had and cropped the slide to be a small signature and there ya go! :)

I completely agree with your comments on this kit -- the products are fabulous (I've fallen in love with the 4-in-1 compact as you have)!

I also have to concur that yes, that blush DOES have the most horrific smell (I don't think you got a bad one -- I think they're ALL like that, sadly), but the color is just so gorgeous!

I'm glad I stumbled across your blog -- I look forward to reading more! :-)
